Sprint has refreshed the plans available to customers wishing to add the mobile hotspot feature to their smartphone or tablet. First, Sprint is “expiring” the 5GB for .99 monthly option. Existing customers with this plan can keep it as long as they don’t cancel their service. New customers, however, must pick between two options: .99 per month for 2GB of combined 3G/4G data, or .99 per month for 6GB of combined 3G/4G data. Overage fees for both plans cost .05 per megabyte. Sprint will notify its mobile hotspot customers when they reach 75%, 90%, and 100% of their monthly data limit.
